How to Make a Britney Spears Costume
Steps:
1. Decide which Britney character you want to dress as. This includes, but is not limited to, "Baby One More Time" naughty school girl, “Oops! I Did It Again!” red jumpsuit, “Toxic” flight attendant etc. You can also choose to dress like a real moment in Britney's life, i.e. denim dress (Justin Timberlake days) or shirts with phrases that are slightly inappropriate (K Fed days), or the simple Las Vegas wedding look.
2. Choose your “Britney character,” decide what to buy or what to use from your closet. People with small budgets can easily find a skirt and an Oxford shirt that they can “crop” by tying ends together to be “One More Time Britney.” A short blue dress with a few additions can be turned into “Toxic Britney.” More money and more creativity may be involved to make "I'm a Slave 4 U" Britney" or "Oops! I Did It Again!" Britney.
3. Fix hair in a style that fits the character. Although she is usually blond, dying hair is optional. (Shaving head may be more trouble than it's worth, however.)
Tips
- Watch the video/look at pictures for inspiration.
- Attitude is everything. Be confident!
- Avoid "crazy Britney." It's probably not the best idea to go trick-or-treating with a shaved head and an umbrella. You may scare little children.
Warnings
- Be sure to tell your parents about this or they will flip out.
- Avoid back up dancers, Paris, and driving while holding a baby.
- Be sure you don't over react while in your costume....REALLY!!!!!!
